Nine (letters) Eleven (letters) is a Spirit that will not die. Do you know Him? One poignant artifact from the September 11, 2001 attack on USA soil was a seatbelt from one of the hijacked planes. Though surrounded by sin and terror, the occupant was much safer than in the security of a seatbelt if sheltered in the arms of the Almighty. An American flag survived the collapse of the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers. It was the only U.S. flag flying at the World Trade Center on September 11, authorities said, and it continued to fly even as the twin towers crumbled. During the months following the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks, Americans united as we had not done in years. Congress unanimously placed itself under the direction of the president as he declared war on terror. The nation looked to the president for leadership. Christians have more than a capable leader in God’s Holy Spirit. But we must choose to place ourselves under His control and direction. This is the age of what you are made of physical and spiritual. The Christian doctrine of immortality cannot be understood apart from the right conception of the tripartite nature of men. Many think that man is a physical being only. There is a great danger of any man thinking thus of himself. In his desire to satisfy the needs of the body there is the tendency on man’s part to lose sight of the fact that he is immortal. There have been persons who have lived all of their lives either in ignorance or willful neglect of a life after death, but upon their death bed they suddenly realized that they were more than physical beings. Sin is killing people that do not have any business dying. All people are made in the image of God and therefore have purpose, meaning, and value. These people, these image bearers of the Almighty, are the greatest natural resource on the planet and are not the problem, but the solution. Jesus makes it clear that he longs for all people to be saved. He wants to gather them as a hen gathers her chicks. Why not us? Unearth the Truth! The earth is on fire, clouds of smoke surrounding it. Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die. Are you ready for this? Christians do not die; they just pass away. One of the greatest rewards as Christians is knowing that when our physical life comes to an end, eternal life awaits us with Jesus Christ, our Lord. That knowledge helps us to survive the challenges and burdens we face on earth. The ring-pass not that separates the earth from other conscious planets is cracking like the shell around an egg when the little chicken is ready to be birthed. These cracks put a strain on all of the earth’s systems which can mean increased volcanic activity, earthquakes and climate changes. The earth is moving to a higher vibration and all beings on its surface must do so as well. Move along and let the human continue. Never once in Scripture are the people of God told to retreat. They are always told to move on. A beautiful example of this is Todd Beamer, who was on the plane that went down in Pennsylvania on September 11. After praying with an operator on the phone, he said, “Let’s roll”. He prayed and then he moved on. There is a time to pray and a time to move on-to take the step of faith and do what God told you to do. Every single person who is a true born-again Christian, anyone who considers himself a disciple of Jesus Christ, has been called to go into all the world and make disciples. When Jesus left the earth, he told his followers to make disciples (followers), baptize them, and teach them. Jesus apparently felt it was pretty important to make this a priority for his followers. The Savior knew those he taught, and he knew who they could become. You got to be who you are in this world. Earth has no sorrows heaven cannot heal. You are to surrender what you are to become who you are. If you want to see the end, you need to see the beginning. Knowing who you are is the foundation to becoming who you are. The process of finding out who you are, is ongoing. What you stand for says a lot about who you are. When asked, “Who are you?” a person’s first most common reply is “I am...”. We all have a little “I am” in us, and we all have a name. Can you handle the honest Truth? “I AM THAT I AM:” God is not God’s name. The God of the universe has a name, but “God” is not it. “God” is what God is. God name is His image. It presents Him to the world. You are God’s name. You are created in the image of God. Man has the innate power to create. The spoken word or name, when employed with potent thought, becomes a creative power that can be manipulated within one’s life in any manner he or she desires. Learning to use that power is what gives dominion over matter. In truth you are a perfect spiritual being having a human experience, encountering life in the world of form. “Human being” is not your name. “Human being” is what you are. You also have a name. Whether it is “Brenda” or “Bob” or “Roy” or “Joyce”, you have your own personal name. A “name” means a persons’ personality or character, their unique being. Even though some of us share our name with millions of other people, God knows our specific name, that is, the unique “substance” we are made of, our physical and spiritual DNA. Oprah Winfrey said that her favorite question to ask show guest is “What do you know for sure?” Well, one thing we all “know for sure” is that we will die. We have two appointments that have already been made for each of us and which we will definitely keep. Judgment is set once you take your last breath. Certainly, the individual, regardless of his life religion, his sins or his failure, almost invariably believes that somehow, at the time of death, God’s grace will cover his human failures and will open the gates of heaven so that he may go in. Is your name written in God’s Book of Life? At Judgment Day, the Lord will explain that He has not heard the names of the sinners seeking entrance at heaven’s gate. It is never about getting there; it is about getting a new name in the journey. Although all roads lead somewhere, only one road leads to the Truth- the Key to the kingdom. Look at what an incredible door He has opened for us. I became a preacher because I knew the filth of sin, and that God had rescued me through the sacrifice and blood of Jesus Christ. I understood what it was to be lost-and thus I fully appreciated what it was to be saved. My decision to be a preacher was based on my desire to help lead others out of sin into the salvation that I now enjoy. Sometime it is about the journey, not the destination; but the best part of every journey is coming home. If you know where you are going, you can make better choices to get you there. You cannot start this journey without knowing where you are going; you got to have a plan and follow it. God’s plan from heaven to you-the way of salvation was perfectly fulfilled. In His plan death is not the end of the road. The journey is the destination. Salvation is God’s will for you made real on earth. All His abundant blessings are freely available in salvation. Expressed simply, it is God’s life in us, Christ in you. Salvation can only be processed through God’s plan of Calvary. Jesus, whose very name means “salvation”; was telling the truth: He is the only way to heaven.
